Word of Life “Lady Cougars” Win LSAM State
Volleyball Championship
The third time was definitely the charm for Word of Life Lutheran’s “Lady Cougars” volleyball team. The team recently won the LSAM (Lutheran Sports Association of Missouri) State Volleyball Tournament for the third time in five years – an exciting accomplishment for both the girls and their coach, Jim O’Toole, who is retiring this year after eight years of leading the team.
Before winning the championship, Coach O’Toole guided the team through an outstanding 33-1 season that included first place titles in several smaller tournaments and second place in the St. Louis City Large Lutheran School Tournament
